The Problem
Until now, assessors have observed and evaluated candidates with pens and paper.
This causes the assessment to be inaccurate in some cases. It also takes a lot of time and energy to analyze the data and enter each candidate's results in the digital system at the end of the camp.
The Mission - KPI's
Optimize evaluation processes
Automate the analysis of data
A camp management system that integrates all departments
User Research
User Journey
Research Process
The sorting camp occurs once a year, so I couldn't observe the users physically.
I conducted user interviews and obtained written materials that show what instructions are given to the users (the assessors) before the camp to gain a deeper understanding of what needs and pain points exist.
The following are some of the pain points:
Evaluation of a specific candidate from the list takes time
Recording the order of arrival of candidates in running station (quick act)
End-of-camp grades and analysis
Analyzing each candidate's assessment in real time
User Flow
From insights to planning
Inspiration
This project is designed to manage a camp that sorting candidates. I took inspiration from products that provide a solution for sorting people in organizations. It was interesting to see how these systems are built and how the data on the candidates is presented.
The Design - Wireframes
High Fidelity
Final Design - UI
The assessor makes his assessment during the different stations in the camp on this screen. Each station uses different rating parameters. Ratings here are intuitively done quickly to allow the assessor to focus on observing the candidates.
A button switches between stations, and at a station with a run, in which you must rate which candidate arrived first, the screen automatically changes to the running rating.
The screen shows the data of all the candidates in relation to the group, and clicking on a candidate shows all the data collected on him so far
To Conclude
There will be a camp in a few months and I am looking forward to testing the prototype and hearing feedback from the evaluators. There will be a round of changes and improvements based on the tests I conduct at the camp.
